![]() I've made many stupid purchases in the past, but they haven't cost me my time and annoyed me this much, so I can justifiedly say that this is the worst purchase I have ever made in my entire life. Once I'm done with this project I will create my own application to sync files, but I'll make one that's working, and release it to the public for FREE. I briefly discussed Insync in the old article about Google Drive and Linux. In fact, you can use Microsoft OneDrive on Linux thanks to Insync. But it has so many features that it becomes an essential tool for those Linux users who rely heavily on Google Drive. I'll get rid of this damn application, and will never ever use it again. Note that Insync is not an open source software. Where the hell are my files? Yeah, they've copied them 3 times and put them everywhere, and it's so inhumanly difficult to restore them, that I'm about to quit this project and rewrite it, WITHOUT Insync. Now, as I'm writing this, Insync freaking managed to do it again. After a week I thought finally insync was working as it should. So, I decrypted all my files and stopped using it. #Insync free softwareOnce I had restored my files, I thought this was my fault for using it with Boxcryptor (an encryption software that you can use with Insync). I spent hours on this, and I lost some of my updates in the process (because, apparently, Insync had created 5 different copies, making it impossible to know which one of them was the latest). And by that I mean you have to restore every single folder, file, and whatnot, from the root-folder. #Insync free downloadLuckily Google Drive still *has them saved*, but they are spread everywhere, and if you are to restore the files, you have to do so chronologically. Download Version 3. Can you imagine my frustration now? I had been working on that project for 2 months straight and was ready to launch in under a week. The only thing remaining was the folder of the project name. A month ago-ish, I was going to continue working on a project I had been working on for a huge amount of time. And it was amazing for the time it lasted.
